    the rule is to stop if you can do so in a safe manner. That means that if you have enough time to stop, then you have to. If you're right at the line, or can't stop safely, then you are allowed to go through.

    I've seen too many accidents to not stop.

    Edit:
    to the person below me. If i stop at a yellow light and get rearended, its the other person's fault. If i go through the yellow light and it happens to turn red while i'm in the intersection and I get into an accident, its my fault. which one is better?

    in drivers ed I was taught green means go, yellow means caution and red means stop.

    if you stop at a yellow light around here you better make sure that you don't have any cars behind you or your going to get rear ended.

    and you better count a few seconds after that light turns green before you go or else.

    I think some people believe that the first car thru the red light
    gets a free pass ;)

    when the light turns yellow, i always speed up so i dont gotta stop. but maybe its cuz im only 14. besides im not supposed to be drivin cuz i dont got a liscence or permit but i dont care. its whatever.
